Patricia Ann (Hensler) Smith, 71, of Remington, passed away Friday, November 13, 2015 at Jasper County Hospital of Rensselaer. She was born July 12, 1944 in Rensselaer to the late Ralph and Vera (Hancock) Hensler. Patty was a lifelong resident of Remington. She graduated from Remington High School in 1962. Her marriage was to Ray Smith on November 4, 1962 at First Christian Church of Remington. He survives. Patty loved spending time with her family and going to her grandkids many activities. She also loved music, playing games with family, going to movies, going to the fair and Fountain Park. She loved her husband dearly and spending her time with him during their 53 years of marriage. Surviving along with her husband are children, Ryan (Stephanie) Smith of Carmel, IN, Renee (Steve) Phillips of Rensselaer, and Reetta (Scott) Blankman of West Lafayette; siblings, Don (Janet) Hensler of Remington, Ron (Lana) Hensler, and Connie Pampel; step-siblings, Barb Voss of West Lafayette, Kathy (Kurt) Keller of Chalmers, Roy (Lisa) Beuerman of Monticello, and Brian Beuerman of Ft. Myers, FL. Also surviving are grandchildren, Katie, Jordan, and Kelsey Phillips; Christian and Hannah Smith; Spencer and Connor Blankman and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Vera Hensler, step mother Terry (Beuerman) Hensler, brother-in- law Larry Pampel, and two nephews, Roger Hensler and Joey Cowger.
