Ruth Humphreys Klink, formerly of Wolcott, died Friday, May 15, 2015 at Westminster Village in West Lafayette. She was 96. Ruth was born near Wolcott on July 07, 1918, the daughter of the late John and Bessie (Darrow) Humphreys. A graduate of Wolcott High School and Lafayette Business College, she was married to Elmer "Mike" Klink in Otterbein on July 29, 1939. He preceded her in death in 2000. Ruth, who had lived at Westminster Village since 2001, loved to read, play cards and other games, tell jokes and watch the occasional game show. She was a member of the T&C Euchre Club in Wolcott for more than 50 years.. Ruth was a life-long Democrat. Survivors include three children, Larry Klink of Wolcott, Karen Marshall of St. Louis, MO, and Mary Beth (Victor) Jonz of Watertown, Ontario, Canada; 5 grandchildren, Laura (Mike) Musall of FIshers, Karen (Darrin) Clark of Tampa, FL, Todd (Kimberly) Klink of Terre Haute, Alexandra (Jay) Brooker of Burlington, Ontario, Canada, and Andrew (Lindsay) Jonz of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Ruth is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren and a dear cousin, Jim (Gloria) Humphreys of Wolcott. Ruth was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Rose; and cousins, Martha Humphreys Lemming and John Humphreys. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in Ruth's name to the Anson Wolcott Historical Society, St. Elizabeth Hospice, or a charity of the donor's choice. Ruth was very fond of the staff at Westminster Village and her family is grateful for their kindness, good humor, and care. Friends may call from 9:00 am (EST) until time of Memorial Mass at 11:00 am, Monday, May 18, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Remington with Father Paul Hudson officiating.
