Edith Cecilia Westerberg, 98, of Fowler died at 1:30 pm, Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Green-Hill Manor in Fowler. She was born on December 18, 1915 in Lafayette to Charles and Anna (Anthrop) Rausch. She graduated from Pine Township High School and was a lifelong resident of Pine and Gilboa Townships. She married Lewis Westerberg at the Sacred Heart Church in Fowler in 1935. Lewis preceded Edith in death. Edith was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Remington, Catholic Order of Forresters, and the Pine and Gilboa Home Economics Clubs. She is survived by 4 children, Jane Rhoades of Fowler, Anna Wilks (husband: Darriel) of Alabama, Nick Westerberg (wife: Christine) of Fowler, and Mary Craiger (husband: Gary) of Virginia; 16 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Westerberg; a son, Michael Westerberg; 4 brothers; and 2 sisters. Rosary service will be held at 9:45 am, Monday, September, 15, 2014, at Sacred Heart Parish in Remington with visitation to follow from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11 am with Father Hudson officiating. Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Remington. Memorial Contributions may be given in Edith's name to the Remington Library or to the Sacred Heart Parish.
