Chelsea Heather Schrader, 23, passed away April 30th at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. Chelsea was born October 10th, 1990 in Lafayette, Indiana to Heather Maupin and Phil Schrader. She spent her childhood in Brookston and Chalmers, IN before moving to Middletown, DE and Galena, MD where she graduated from Kent County High School. The family then relocated to Stuttgart, AR. Chelsea was a person who never met a stranger. She developed strong friendships in every state the family lived in that continued even after moving away. The flood of support received by the hundreds of people whom Chelsea had touched over her short 23 years is a testament of how Chelsea lived; her smile, her laugh, and her hugs will be dearly missed. Surviving are her mother Heather (Jeff) Maupin of Benson, IL; her father Phil (Lynnette) Schrader of Delphi, IN; her brothers Chad Schrader of Philadelphia, PA and Cory Schrader of Lafayette, IN; her sister Ciara Schrader of Stuttgart, AR; her grandmother Connie McCracken of Lafayette, IN; and her grandfather Larry Schrader of Delphi, IN. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Jerry McCracken of Monticello, IN and her grandmother Jean Schrader of Delphi, IN. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 7th from 3 to 6 p.m. (EDT) at Hartzler-Clapper funeral home in Brookston, IN. A Celebration of Chelsea's Life will be held following the visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. (EDT) at the American Legion in Chalmers, IN. Chelsea was a lover of all animals, so anyone wishing to make a donation is asked to make it to their local humane society.
