Larry D. McFall, 77, of Brookston died at 6:57 am, Monday, April 14, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Lincoln City on August 29, 1936 to the late Isaac Cosby and Lula Katherine (Stockhowe) McFall. He attended Chrisney High School in Chrisney. On November 19, 1971, Larry married Ellin S. Brody in Columbia, Maryland. She survives. Larry lived most of his adult life in Brookston and on the Tippecanoe River. In 1972, he began working at Landis & Gyr as a Laborer, and later as a Group Leader until his retirement in 1997. He had also worked at Brian's and RCA in Monticello. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and mushroom hunting. He liked cooking and was a NASCAR fan in his later years. Larry also enjoyed carpentry and remodeled their house on the river himself. He is survived by a son, Larry McFall Jr. of Lafayette; a daughter, Michelle Hubbard of South Carolina; 2 sisters, Marcella Gregory of Brookston, Brenda Bower of Frankfort; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Phyllis Giarratana; and a granddaughter, Sara Elizabeth McFall. Friends may call from 1pm until time of service at 2pm, Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home in Brookston with Elder Joe Greer of Abundant Love Outreach, Lafayette officiating. Interment will follow at the Brookston IOOF Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in Larry's name to the American Heart Association.
