Ina Shepard, 69, of Earl Park, passed away Sunday September 15, 2013 at 3:20am. Ina was born February 3, 1944 in Talbot, IN to the late Delno Burton and Emma (Gaines) Burton. She attended Raub High School Her marriage was to Ardoth "Bud" Shepard on August 2, 1962 in the Christian Church of Kentland, he survives. Ina was a life long resident of Benton County, she served as a clerk and post master of Goodland U.S. Postal Service until retiring in 2010. Ina is survived by her sons; Larry and Gina Shepard of Kentland, IN, Dan Shepard of Normal, IL, Michael and Rena Shepard of Lafayette, IN; Grandchildren: Ian and Ashley Shepard of New York, Taylor Shepard of Indianapolis, Erica and Steven Knutson of Roselawn, IN; 1 Great Grand Son; Carter Knutson. Ina enjoyed spending her time reading, and various travels. She also enjoyed collecting music boxes, Christmas villages, and spending time with her loving family. Friends may call from 5-8 pm, Thursday, September 19, 2013, at Stitz Clapper Funeral Home of Kentland. Service beginning at 11am, Friday September 20, 2013 at Stitz Clapper Funeral Home. Interment to follow in Earl Park cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
