Lucille (Dahlenburg) Fisher, 92, formerly of Brookston, passed away at 7:12 p.m. Saturday, June 8, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Central of Lafayette. She was born May 16, 1921 in Monticello, Indiana to the late George and Delphia (Elston) Dahlenburg. She graduated from Monticello High School in 1939. Her marriage of 68 years was to Herbert R. Fisher on April 1, 1945 in Monticello. He survives. Lucille was a member of Chalmers Community Church and was a life member of the Beta Chapter of Kappa Kappa Sigma Sorority. Surviving with her husband are two children; Keith Fisher (wife: Kathy) of Cunningham, Tennessee and Jane Moore (husband: Randall) of Monticello. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two infant brothers, one other brother, Douglas Dahlenburg and two sisters; Beulah Carlisle and Audrey Barlow. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Chalmers Community Church and also from 9 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2013 also at Chalmers Community Church with Pastor Bill Henderson officiating. Interment to follow at Chalmers Community Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Lucille's name to Chalmers Community Church or Gideon's International.
