Ruth (Napierski) Potsch, 85, of Goodland, died at 1:58 a.m., on January 29, 2013, at George Ade Memorial Health Center of Brook, Ind. She was born May 7, 1927, in Gelsenkirchen-Buer, Germany, to the late August and Emilie (Dvorak) Napierski. Her marriage was to George Potsch on June 15, 1952, in Germany. He preceded her in death in 2009. Ruth graduated from a nursing school in Dusseldorf, Germany, in 1948. She was a nurse before leaving Germany, and then again in Berwyn, IL until the birth of her son. Later in life, Ruth helped with the family business, Sun Industries, Inc. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and baking, gardening, fishing, and travelling with her late husband, George. Preceding Ruth in death are her husband and parents, a brother, Otto; and a sister, Gertrude. Survivng Ruth are son, Carl (wife: Nancy) Potsch of Goodland; step-son, Rolf (wife: Birgitt) Potsch of Newnan, Ga; four grandchildren, Nicholas (wife: Erin) Potsch of Schaumburg, IL; Neil Potsch of Lafayette, IN; Emily Potsch of Kentland; and Markus (wife: Tessa) Potsch of Newnan, GA, and three sisters, Helene Kissling of Bochum Germany, Margaret Pruhs of Arensburg Germany, and Edith Napierski of Datteln Germany.
