Fay E. Sullivan, 83, a lifelong Kentland resident, died at 6:35 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2012 in George Ade Memorial Healthcare Center of Brook. She had been in failing health since July. She was born January 7, 1928 in Brook, Indiana to the late Ira and Etta (Lacy) Hahn and was a 1944 graduate of Brook High School. Her marriage was to Warren T. Sullivan on October 23, 1947 in Kentland, Indiana. He survives. Mrs. Sullivan was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Kentland and the Junior Women's Club. She worked at the Courthouse in the Recorders Office and the Kentland Bank for over 25 years. Fay was an avid quilter and liked playing cards. Surviving with her husband is a son, Dave Sullivan (wife: Linda) of Kentland; a daughter, Mary Ann Sullivan of West Lafayette; a close friend of the family, Faye Walburg; three sisters, Marge Long of Brook, Catherine (Duane) Willie of Sydney, Ohio and Joan (Bill) Riegle of Kentland and a brother, Alfred (Cheryl)Honn of, Atwater, Ohio. Also surviving are numerous Nieces and Nephews. Fay loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, Jennifer Anderson (husband: Randy), Jacqueline Zimmerman (husband: Michael and Andrew Sullivan (wife: Genevieve) and her 9 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are 2 sisters, Clara and Dorothy Anderson; a brother, Raymond Honn and an infant son, David Joseph Sullivan. Funeral service 5:00 PM (CST) Friday, March 23, 2012 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home of Kentland with visitation to follow until 8 p.m. The Rev. Ed VanWijk to officiate. Private interment to follow at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
