M. "Enid" Cobb, 90, of Kentland, died at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Cumberland Pointe Health Campus of West Lafayette. She was born August 21, 1920 in Forrest, Illinois to the late Louis and Mary (Steidinger) Troesch. She graduated from Raub High School in 1939. Her marriage was to Berle Cobb on October 24, 1943 in Raub. He preceded her in death in February 11, 1985. Enid was a member of Raub United Methodist Church, where she held several UMW offices and was involved with many committees and activities. She volunteered for George Ade Hospital in Brook, and after Berle passed, she worked at the Kentland Library and Colonial Inn. She enjoyed reading, baking, knitting, volunteering, and being a part of church and family activities. Surviving are two sons, Denny Cobb (wife: Suzi) of Kentland and Dale Cobb (wife: Susan Novak) of Indianapolis, and a sister, Marilyn Slabaugh of Kokomo. Enid's life revolved around her family and her faith. She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her four grandsons, Jay (wife: Jill), Kevin (wife: Meredith), Aaron (wife: Pam) and Joe Cobb, a step-granddaugther, Haley Novak, and also her eight Cobb great-grandchildren, Ayren, Annabelle, Madelyn, Patrick, Lilly, Bea, Sophie and Lemmy. She was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Zimmer-Baker. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. (CST- Kentland Time) Sunday, August 21, 2011 at Raub United Methodist Church with Pastor Jack Snell officiating. Private family inurnment to be held prior to service.
