Charlotte Jones, 80, of Kentland, IN, died at 3:58 p.m., April 14, 2011 at George Ade Memorial Health Care of Brook, IN. She was born July 28, 1930 in Vandalia, IL to the late Elmer and Pearl (Sanders) Fleming. She attended Brookston High School. Her marriage was to Russell Jones in 1948. He preceded her in death on September 13, 2009. Mrs. Jones was a member of the Pythian Sisters of Kentland, IN. She worked at the Bell Telephone Company, Kenny's Pharmacy, and as a receptionist for Dr. Kay's veterinary clinic. She enjoyed camping and fishing with her family and cooking. Surviving are two sons, Thomas L. Jones and Robert A. Jones (wife: Lisa), all of Kentland, and a sister, Dolores Hooker of Lafayette. Also surviving is a grandson, Cristian Jones, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 10 a.m. (CST) until the time of service 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home in Kentland, IN. Rev. Ed vanWijk to officiate. Interment to follow in Fairlawn Cemetery, Kentland. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
