Beulah Carlisle Beulah M. Carlisle, 95, of Eustis, Florida, formerly of West Lafayette, died Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Florida Hospital - Waterman in Tavares, Florida. She was born February 22, 1915, in White County, Indiana to the late George Albert and Delpha Anna (Elston) Dahlenburg. She graduated from Monticello High School in 1933. Her marriage was to Leslie Harold Carlisle on September 18, 1937 in Monticello, Indiana. He preceded her in death in 1989. Prior to moving to Florida in 1978, she lived at "The Hills," a Purdue staff recreational area, near West Lafayette. She was a member of Lake Eustis Christian Church in Eustis, Florida, and she formerly attended Monticello Christian Church in Monticello, Indiana. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, beading, bingo, plays, and working on different kinds of crafts. Surviving are two children, Dr. Roma J. Carlisle of Satellite Beach, Florida, and Meyer "Mac" Carlisle (wife Jill) of LaPorte; a sister, Lucille Fisher (husband Herbert) of Brookston, and a brother, Douglas Dahlenburg of Logansport. Also surviving are two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister Audrey Barlow. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston, and 12 p.m. until the service time at 1 p.m. Monday also at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston with Reverend Charles Elston officiating. Interment will follow at Bedford Cemetery of Monon, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to Sunny Ridge Manor, her former home near Tavares, Florida.
