Thelma Barrett, 67, of Wolcott, died at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at her residence. She was born August 9, 1943 in White County to Lloyd and Laura Walters Griffin. She graduated from Wolcott High School. Her marriage was to Robert Barrett on November 11, 1972 in Monticello. He survives. Mrs. Barrett lived throughout White County her entire life. She worked for RCA and Monon Trailer, and she enjoyed gardening, flowers, and reading. Surviving with her mother and husband are 4 children, Velma Gonzales of Wolcott, Kathy Dillman and David Rance both of Monticello, Melissa Clark of Indianapolis, 7 step-children, Robert R. Barrett Jr. (wife: Teresa) of Wolcott, Tim Barrett (wife: Missi) and Richard "Rick" Barrett both of Monticello, Deb Barrett of Cambridge, Minnesota, Jill Barrett of Florida, Rod Weaver (wife: Diane) of Reynolds, Connie Clothier of Burnettsville, and 1 sister, Velma Speer (husband: Jerry) of Reynolds. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death with her father is a daughter, Sandy Rance, 2 sisters, Mary and Linda Griffin, and 2 brothers, Adam and John Griffin. Friends may call from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Clapper Family Funeral Home in Monon. Services will be held there at 10 a.m. Monday, September 20, 2010 with Rev. Dr. Lelan D. McReynolds officiating. Interment will follow at Osborne Cemetery, Rensselaer, Indiana.
