Donal J. "Jerry" Rush, 60, of Brookston, died at 12:15 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2010 at Regency Place in Lafayette. Born on July 21, 1949 in Lafayette, he was the son of Donal L. and Delores Gardiner Rush. They survive. He was a 1967 graduate of Frontier High School and attended Purdue University before serving in the United States Army. His first marriage was to Catherine Zarse on November 2, 1968; they later divorced. He then married Marcia Logan on June 15, 1995 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee and she preceded him in death March 21, 2004. Mr. Rush was a member of the Brookston Federated Church. He owned and operated a trucking company from 1971 to 1982, then worked for various trucking companies, worked on the family veal calf farm, and most recently worked at Boanco Inc., retiring due to ill health. Jerry enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Surviving with his parents is his fiance, Judy Copas, of Brookston; his children, Troy Rush (wife: Lisa) of Lafayette, Trent Rush (wife: Kathy) of Austin, TX and Traci Rush of Fishers; brothers, Neal Rush (wife: Kathleen) of Palm Bay, FL and Larry Rush (wife: Donna Lynn) of Brookston; and a sister, Donnadee Roy of Brookston. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren. Private services will be held at a later date.
