Faye M. Gambrel, 67, of Wolcott, died at 3:53 p.m. on August 11, 2009 in Clarian Arnett Hospital. Born on June 14, 1942 she was the daughter of the late Fay and Anna Altman Minniear. She attended Wolcott schools. Her marriage was to Gene Gambrel on May 29, 1967 in Tazewell, Tennessee. He survives. She worked at RCA in Monticello for 13 years. Mrs. Gambrel enjoyed bingo, camping, dominos, Purdue basketball, was a fan of Elvis Presley and Conway Twitty, and loved spending time with her family. Surviving with her husband is a daughter, Carol Scott (husband: Jack) of Lafayette; a sister, Katie Laurel (husband: Vidal) of Lafayette; and 2 brothers, Larry Dykhuizen (wife: Dixie) of Arkansas and Tom Keiser (fiancé: Nancy) of Lafayette. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Melissa and Courtney. Faye loved her special dog Peanut. Preceding her in death are 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
