Ruth Ann Neuman, 68, of Brookston, died on June 9, 2009 in Clarian Arnett Hospital. She had battled cancer for the past 5 years. She was born on March 27, 1941 in Lafayette to the late Lester and Lillian Waples Hague. She was a 1959 graduate of Jefferson High School. Her marriage was to Jack Neuman on February 1, 1964 in Lafayette. He survives. Mrs. Neuman was an office administrator at Ice Cream Specialties for 24 years, retiring in 2005. Ruth enjoyed bowling, gardening, flowers, basket weaving, pottery, family genealogy, and transcribing burial sites. Surviving with her husband is a sister, Dorothy L. Jackson of Lafayette. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death with her parents is a sister, Rose Hinton and a brother, Bill Hague. Friends and family may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2009 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home in Brookston with services at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, West Lafayette.
