Beverly J. Sheets, 67, of Monticello, Indiana, formerly of Plainfield, Illinois, died at 1:27 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2009 at Sunrise Senior Living in Carmel. She was born on October 13, 1941 in Lafayette to the late Karl and Anna Pearl Klinkhamer Buntin. She was a 1959 graduate of Klondike High School. Her marriage was to Edward G. Sheets on June 4, 1961, in Badger Grove Church. He preceded her in death on November 16, 2007. Mrs. Sheets worked at Harris Bank and Oxford Bank in Naperville, Illinois for many years before retiring. Bev enjoyed watching Purdue University basketball, bird watching, flowers and spending time with her family. Surviving is a son, Brett Sheets (wife: Lisa) of Ann Arbor, Michigan; two daughters, Brenda Whalen (husband: Jim) of Seneca, Illinois and Kim Sugg (husband: Fred) of Fishers, Indiana; a sister, Barbara DeLong (husband: Gary) of Battle Ground and a brother, Jack Buntin (wife: Karla) of Wolcott. Bev loved her grandchildren, Jacob, Kaitlin, John, Brittany, Brooke and Tyler. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death with her parents and husband is a brother, Jim Buntin. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, June 8 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston with services on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Chris Dodson will officiate. Interment to follow in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Cemetery, West Lafayette.
