Doris E. Overman, 75, of Delphi, died Friday, May 8, 2009 in her daughter's home. Born on December 30, 1933 in Lafayette she was the daughter of the late Bazzle and Nellie Crawford Minniear. She attended Brookston High School. Her marriage was to Ralph E. Overman in 1954. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1996. Mrs. Overman was a nurse's aid at Delphi Nursing Home and Indiana Veterans Home for several years. She enjoyed flowers, crocheting, and horses. Surviving are her children, Patty Robinette of Delphi, Terry Overman of Delphi, and Michael Overman of Camden; and 3 sisters, Ruby Leach of Gary, Indiana, Grace Gregory of Lafayette, and Olive Littner of Kentucky. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death with her parents and husband are 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Friends may call from 12 noon-2 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2009 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home in Brookston. Interment to follow at Liberty Chapel Cemetery, Battle Ground.
