Randall Vermont Owen, 82, of Wolcott, died Sunday, October 19, 2008. He was born June 2, 1926 in White County to the late Claude and Roma Conrad Owen. He was a 1944 graduate of Wolcott High School. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. Mr. Owen worked as a technician at Bryan Manufacturing in Monticello and was also a carpenter. He enjoyed woodworking, watching sports, and spending time with his dog, Sam. He is survived by his children, Randy Claud Owen (wife: Dianne) and Tony Ray Owen, both of Reedsburg, Wisconsin; a brother, Russell Owen (wife: Esther) of Buffalo; a niece, several great nieces and nephews and 3 step-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Brookston IOOF Cemetery. Rev. Guy Brown to officiate. Preceding him in death is a grandson, Seth Randall Owen.
