Devon Paul Ledford, 46, of Monticello, died unexpectedly Friday, June 27, 2008 at White County Memorial Hospital. He was born July 27, 1961 in Lafayette, to the late Paul Ledford Jr. and his wife Marie (Chapman) Ledford. He was a graduate of North White High School in 1979 and longtime resident of the Monticello area. His marriage was to Yvonne Ponto on August 17, 1985 in the Monticello Presbyterian Church. She survives. He was a member of the Tippecanoe Christian Church and Local 150 Midwest Operating Engineers. Mr. Ledford was a 25 year employee of Vulcan Materials. Devon was an avid hunter, enjoyed working in the yard and riding four wheelers. Mr. Ledford was a White County 4H Shooting Instructor for several years while his daughter competed in the sport. Surviving with his wife is his daughter, Ashlynn Ledford of Monticello and his mother, Marie Ledford also of Monticello. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2008 at Clapper Family Funeral Home, Monon and also from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2008 in Tippecanoe Christian Church, Winamac; Pastor Ed Clark to officiate.
