Mirna Estela Magana Valencia, 23, of Monon, died Monday, February 4, 2008 when the vehicle she was riding in crashed into the Rogers Group Quarry near Kentland. She was born November 15, 1984 in El Salvador. She worked at S&S Plastics in Kentland and was on her way to work when the accident happened. She was a member of the Iglesia De Dios En Christo Jesus (Church of God & Jesus Christ) in Monon. She enjoyed learning to speak the English language. Surviving in the United States are her boyfriend, Luis Alonso Romero and her brother, Renee Serrano (wife: Rosa Vilma Carcamo). Visitation of the body will be from 2:30 p.m. Saturday (tomorrow) February 9, 2008 until Monday, February 11, 2008 at 12 p.m. Noon at the Iglesia De Dios En Christo Jesus (Church of God & Jesus Christ) in Monon. Afterwards her body is to be returned to El Salvador for burial. Donations may be given to the family at the church to help offset funeral expenses.
