Dorothy M. Mathew, 87, of Lake Placid, FL died Sunday, May 25, 2008 at Lake Placid Health Care Center. She was born in Elizabethtown, KY and had been a resident of Lake Placid for 25 years. She and her husband of 67 years had retired to Florida from Wolcott, Indiana. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Lake Placid and Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Remington, IN. She is survived by her husband, Vincent; 3 daughters, Janet Murphy (Patrick), Carolyn Vogel (Robert), Nancy Klopfenstein (Gale) and 2 sons Dennis (Millie Klopfenstein) and Robert. She had 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by a son, Steve and a grandson, Chad Mathew and a sister, Katherine Berryman. Services will be held on Friday, May 30 with the viewing at Foster-Clapper Funeral Home in Wolcott and a mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Remington on May 31.
