Gregory A. Viney, 66, of Monticello passed away surrounded by family at 2:55 a.m., Monday, November
27, 2023 at home. 
Born on March 3, 1957, in Heidelberg, Germany, he was the son of the late Roger and Martha
(Christopher) Viney.
He was a 1976 Twin Lakes High School graduate. Greg was most proud of his career as a U.S. Army
National Guard veteran. He retired after 22 years as a 1 st Sgt. 
Greg married his high school sweetheart, Cindy Viney (Maxson) on October 25, 1975.  together for 50
years and married for 48 years. 
Greg formerly worked at Globe Valve in Delphi for 26 years and retired from Regal Rexnord in Monticello.
He was a member of the Monticello United Methodist Church. He loved camping, fishing, and spending time with friends and family. Greg specifically enjoyed spending time on summer vacations with his children and grandchildren at Kings Island and Florida. Greg also enjoyed going on his sibling getaways to Las Vegas. He enjoyed celebrating the holidays with his family, especially Christmas and always put his family first.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy Viney of Monticello, daughter, Amber Biggs (Chris) of Monticello, son,
Jason Viney of Monticello, brother, Vincent Dean Viney of Monticello, sisters, Denise Reszkowski of
Lafayette, Anita Hicks (James) of Lafayette, Sherry Minnicus (Chuck) of Wolcott and Tara Provo (Jon) of
Attica, grandchildren, Gabrielle Cosgray (Avery), Jadelyn Viney, Cole Viney, and Liam Biggs and great-
grandchildren, Asher Cosgray and Hudson Viney, and several nieces, nephews, and their children. 
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Martha Viney and great-granddaughter Delilah Cosgray.
A Celebration of Life Service for Greg will be at 6:30 p.m., Friday, December 1, 2023, at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Beeks officiating.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.
