Helen M. (Guss) Johns, 97 formerly of Monticello, IN passed on the evening of April 14, 2024, at Fawcett Hospital in Port Charlotte, FL. Helen lived in Monticello, IN most of her life before she moved to Port Charlotte, FL in 2014.  Helen was born on Sunday August 22, 1926, to the late Clarence and Mary Guss. Helen was a graduate of Buffalo High School in 1944.

Helen first married in 1946 to Sylvester Munsterman of Wolcott, Indiana. He preceded her in death.

Helen remarried in 1956 to Ralph Johns.

Helen enjoyed gardening, playing euchre, collecting hummingbirds, being around family, and always caring for others. Helen was a Chicago Cubs fan and no stranger to meeting new people wherever she went. Helen was a member of the Methodist Church of Reynolds, IN before she moved to Florida.

Surviving son, Neal (Ginny) Munsterman of Port Charlotte, Fl. Sister, Opal Monnett of Monticello, IN. Grandchildren, Sonja Munsterman, Stephanie Munsterman, Stacey Munsterman and Kelli Munsterman. Great- Grandchildren Katlynn, Alanya, Elijah, Garret.

Helen is preceded in death by husbands Sylvester Munsterman and Ralph Johns. Son, Michael Munsterman. Granddaughters Natalie Munsterman and Jennifer Munsterman. Sister, Phyllis Bridge.

Graveside service for Helen will be taking place, Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Bedford Cemetery in Monon, Indiana.
