Biographical Information:
Irene had lived in the Monon, Indiana community most all of her life, and had worked at the Schumacer Factory in Rensselaer, Indiana for over eighteen (18) years. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and homemaker. Irene enjoyed baking cakes, and had made several wedding and birthday cakes throughout the years. She also loved gardening, and her flowers, Irene could grow anything. She had a huge garden and would end up giving up a lot of her produce to anyone in need. Irene also enjoyed fishing, and could out fish anyone. She didn?t' know a stranger, and woud give the shirt right off her back if someone needed it. Irene also had a love for animals.

Marriage Information: On October 6, 1941, in Goodland, Indiana, she married Clarence " Slim " Allen. He survives.

Husband, Clarence " Slim " Allen of Monon, Indiana; Daughters, Patricia (husband Bill) Bell of Monticello, Indiana, and Doris (husband Red) Thompson of Monon, Indiana; Son, Jim (fiancee Jo Ellen) Allen of Monon, Indiana; Eight (8) Grandchildren; Seventeen (17) Great Grandchildren;Sisters, Louise (husband Andy) Haste of Roselawn, Indiana, Rink (husband Pete) Staff of Texas, Joann (husband Jim) Albert of Covington, Georgia, and Mary Jane (husband Bill) Wells of Orland, Indiana; Brother, Bob (wife Gloria) Lewellen of Ohio
