Biographical Information:
Jewel had moved to the Rensselaer, Indiana area when she was sixteen (16) years old, coming from Kentucky. She had been a resident at the Monticello Assisted Living & Healthcare Center in Monticello, Indiana since 2003 when her health started to fail four (4) years ago. Jewel attended all of the church services, and went on all of the field trips while at the healthcare center. She was a people person and loved life itself. She was an avid bingo player, and loved playing it as often as she could. She enjoyed working with crafts, made numerous beaded bracelets and other jewlry. Jewel also loved stuffed animals, watching the birds in the terrarium at the healthcare center, and quilting. Jewel was like a "mother hen" to everyone at the healthcare center. She also loved flowers, shopping, and especially her huge garden.
