John Lenzini

November 17, 2023

John J. Lenzini, 76, of Monticello passed away at home on Friday, November 17, 2023.

Born on October 3, 1947 in New York City, he was the son of the late Joe and Mary (Favata) Lenzini.

As a child, John lived in Italy, and Istanbul, Turkey.  After returning to the States, he graduated in 1967 from Denby High School in Detroit.  He also attended Wayne State University.

John served in the 176th Sig Company of the U.S. Army until he was honorably discharged in 1969.

He owned and operated Amery Tape and Label of Warren, Michigan before moving to Traverse City, Michigan.

John married Tracy Palicki of Mesick, Michigan in October of 1994.  Together they owned and operated Jet Label, Inc. of Traverse City, Michigan for several decades until retiring to Monticello.

John loved flying his Cherokee Six airplane and especially enjoyed flying the family for trips.  He was an avid reader, history buff and political junkie.  He was always teased about his love for silly videos.

John was a great story teller and his laughter filled the house.  He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.

John is survived by his wife, Tracy (Palicki) Lenzini of Monticello, children, John Lenzini, Jr. (Shannon) of Littleton, New Hampshire, Nicolette Lenzini (John Leigh) of Monticello, Neasha Kelp of Fife Lake, Michigan and Eric Kelp of Kingsley, Michigan and grandchildren, Johnnie, Joe, Adrianne, Camielle and Tyrus Leigh, Sam and Braelyn Hanna, Caleb Ingersoll, Carys Kelp and Isaac and Nathan Lenzini.  He is also survived by one great grandson, JJ Kukulski.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at a later date.

John’s online guestbook is available and condolences can be shared with the family at www.miller-rosckafh.com.
