Biographical Information:
Larry had lived most all his life in the Monticello, Indiana, area and was a 1967 graduate of Twin Lakes High School of Monticello, Indiana. He had worked for over twenty - five (25+) years as a fireman/paramedic at the Monticello Fire Department of Monticello, Indiana. He had served as a Captain and had also served as an Assistant Chief. Larry was a pioneer for the Monticello Fire Department, helping it become what it is today with its ambulance service and all. He had also worked at the St. Joe Hospital in Kokomo, Indiana, as the ambulance director for over twenty (20+) years. Larry was a member of the Moose Lodge of Monticello, Indiana. Larry enjoyed playing euchre, golfing and going deer hunting with his grandkids. His life was his grandkids, they kept him going.
Special Services: One last ride for Larry on one of the Monticello Fire Department Engines will follow the Celebration of Life Service.
Memorial Information: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Marriage Information: On June 24, 1972 in Monticello, Indiana, he married Ruth M. Jenkins; she passed away on Satruday, January 24, 2004.

Smith of Monticello, Indiana; Sister,Sandy K. (husband Walt) Bailey of Greenfield, Indiana; Numerous Brothers-in-law, Sisters-in-law, Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces, Great Nephews, and Cousins.
