Biographical Information:
Joyce was a 1941 graduate of the Darlington High School of Darlington, Indiana. She then went on to graduate from the former Home Hospital School of Nursing Program in Lafayette, Indiana. Joyce then worked several years and a Registered Nurse. She also had the distinct privilege of assisting her late husband Dr. Wes Shannon in the delivery of two of her own Grandchildren. Joyce enjoyed knitting, sewing and playing cards (cheated every chance she could get), and especially Bridge. Joyce truly loved life and spending time with her family.

Marriage Information: On September 8, 1946 in Darlington she married Wesley E. Shannon. He died in 2001.
