Residence: Monticello, Indiana. 

Marian passed away, surrounded by her family, at 1:08 a.m., Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo, Indiana. She was 83 years young.

Marian was born on Wednesday, May 10, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois, to Clarence and Emma (Kramer) Hosang. She married Robert James "Bob" O'Connell, on August 10, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois.  Robert passed away on Sunday, May 9, 1999.  

Marian spent her summers in the Monticello, Indiana area since 1977, where she enjoyed camping at Lake Shafer with many family and friends.  Before she retired she spent twenty-six years as a truant officer for the Chicago Public Schools.  She and her late husband, Bob, spent their retirement between Rotonda West, Florida and Monticello, Indiana. Marian was an avid seamstress, cook, music lover, and enjoyed a good card game of rummy.  She had an infectious laugh and loved to tell stories. Marian was loved by all those that knew her and was a "mother" to many.  She will be greatly missed.   

Survivors include:  Companion, Frank Tennant; her three children Brian O'Connell, Kevin O'Connell, and Kelly (husband Jim) Holland; four grandchildren Erin O'Connell, Katherine "Katie" O'Connell, Connor Holland, and Brooke Holland.

Preceded in Death: Clarence and Emma (Kramer) Hosang; and sister, Eleanor Young.

A Memorial Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date and time.
