Biographical Information:
Becky passed away after four (4) year battle of breast cancer. She was a 1971 graduate of Twin Lakes High School in Monticello, Indiana, and earned a Bachelor Degree from Elmhurst College and Master Degree from both Loyola (Chicago) and Northern Illinois Universities. Becky was very active in forensics (speech) in high school, winning state championships during her Junior and Senior years. In 1970, she was elected Governor of Girls State and President of Girls Nation. Becky worked for various divisions of General Motors but turned to being a full time wife and mother after a second daughter was born in 1986. She did volunteer work for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)and the Presbyterian Church and belonged to various social clubs.
Special Services: Celebration of Life Service will be held on April 19, 2009, at the Presbyterian Church in Clarendon Hillills, Illinois beginning at 3:00 p.m., (C.S.T.)
Memorial Information: In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations to be given to CASA of DuPage County, Inc., 505 N. County Fram Road 3rd Floor, Suite C., Wheaton, Illinois 60187. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Marriage Information: On June 3, 1978, in Beck Chapel, at Indiana University (Bloomington, Indiana), she married David Shook. They had been close friends since the third (3rd) grade.

Husband, David "Dave" Shook of Hinsdale, Illinois; Daughters, Heather (husband Joe) Christman, and Whitney Shook, both of Chicago, Illinois;Parents, Robert "Bob" and Joyce Wrede, Sr. of Monticello, Indiana; Brothers, Rickey "Skip"(wife Vicki) Wrede of Lafayette, Indiana, Ted Wrede, Robert "Bob" (wife Jan) Wrede, Jr., and Ken (wife Crystal) Wrede, all of Monticello, Indiana; Mother-in-law, Colleen Shook of Monticello, Indiana;Numbrous Nieces, Nephews, and Legions of Friends.
