Ruby was born and raised in White County, Indiana. She was 1937 graduate of the Wolcott High School in Wolcott, Indiana. Ruby was baptized in the First Christian Church in Remington, Indiana on September 17, 1933. She was a member of the Monticello Christian Church of Monticello, Indiana. Ruby loved gardening, flowers, crocheting, and anything to do with the outdoors. She did enjoy cooking and was an amazing cook.
